Piet Visser

Ek is Piet Visser.

Olyfberg is my ewige tuiste…

Piet Visser

I am Piet Visser. In 1997 I started working as a general worker at Olyfberg. Two years later I was promoted to supervisor. Those years there was not much on the farm. The previous owner and I did everything to construct the necessary infrastructure to create a conducive farming and production facility. We also started planting… Old vineyards were removed and replaced with new vines. Young olive trees that grew to form the magnificent olive groves that sweep the slopes of Olyfberg we planted back then-our pride and joy! We processed and pressed the olives ourselves in the production facility that we constructed. Years later we planted almonds and apricots for aspart of our expansion.

It was and remains hard work. It is my pleasure and honour to have contributed to help grow Olyfberg to what it has become. I go to work each day not because I have to work, but because I want to!

I started off as a general worker and today I am part of the management team at Olyfberg. I am grateful for the opportunity that I received. Sharing my knowledge with the other workers today gives me a sense of fulfilment. Everyone is happy and Olyfberg is thriving.

My family, wife and two daughters, also live and work on the farm.

I consider Olyfberg my eternal home…
